Examinations conclude your study period to test the knowledge and skills you have perfected during your course.CIBTAC invites you to discover the wide range of internationally recognised qualifications available to you. Choose from beauty, body and holistic therapies, nails and make-up services or advanced qualifications such as laser, micro-dermabrasion and spa management. Seek potential opportunities for studying this highly regarded qualification in your home country or further afield. You may choose to study CIBTAC as a stand-alone qualification or enhance your local Government state qualification.

Aim of course

  • To enable a candidate to perform safe and effective depilatory waxing treatments.
  • To achieve a qualification at UK Level 2 national standards, approved by BABTAC and recognised internationally.
  • To enable a candidate to gain employment in the beauty therapy industry.

Entry level A person displaying a high level of interpersonal skills, in particular, excellent communication, listening skills, empathy, patience, tact, diplomacy and time-keeping. A well-groomed appearance and a mature disposition is an asset.

The learner will be able to:

  • Perform safe, hygienic and effective waxing treatments to a commercially acceptable standard and time.
  • Adapt treatments to suit the individual client’s needs by analysing information gathered at consultation, including contraindications
  • Understand the basic key ingredients in waxing preparations · Understand the importance of current legislation appertaining to beauty employment
  • Perform aftercare procedures immediately after waxing treatment and give appropriate home care advice

Purpose of the CIBTAC Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention and Control

The CIBTAC Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention and Control is a knowledge-based qualification to support a role in the workplace. It is aimed at equipping the learner with core underpinning knowledge and understanding of how to prevent and control the spread of infection.

The CIBTAC Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention and Control provides Learners with the knowledge of how to prevent and control the spread of infection within the work environment and how to work safely.
