CIBTAC Diploma in Body Massage Swedish

Body Massage Diploma Learning Objectives:

The learner will be able to:

• Identify lifestyle characteristics and take appropriate action in selecting or advising clients about treatments and aftercare.
• Adapt treatments to suit the individual client’s needs by analyzing the information gathered at the consultation, including contra-indications.
• Perform safe, hygienic and effective body massages to a commercially acceptable standard and timing. Select, use and advise clients about body care products.
• Understand the principles of Swedish massage techniques and their effects on the body.
• Understand the importance of an awareness of current legislation appertaining to beauty and complementary therapies employment.

EXAMINATIONS:  CIBTAC Massage (Swedish) Diploma Course

THEORY: 30 mins multiple choice paper

PRACTICAL: 1-hour practical examination

Anatomy & Physiology is a pre-requisite for all International courses. Taking an Anatomy & Physiology Course will give you the skills of understanding how the body works. Hence giving you a better understanding of how you can meet the needs of your clients as a Spa therapist.  No previous experience is necessary.
