The CIBTAC Level 3 Diploma in Aromatherapy is a practical and knowledge-based qualification. It is aimed at equipping therapists with skills required for work in salons, destination/day spas, cruise ships and within the complementary therapy or healthcare sectors in an employed or selfemployed capacity.

The units have been identified by employers as the most appropriate for working as an aromatherapist, however, there are many CPD courses that can enhance the skills learnt and provide new techniques to ensure that the qualified therapist remains current and at the forefront of the industry.

What you will learn
All units are mandatory and examinable. Assessment methodology used is MCQ theory examinations and practical examinations.

The learner will be able to:

• Identify lifestyle characteristics and take appropriate action in selecting or advising clients about treatments and aftercare.
• Adapt treatments to suit the individual client’s needs by analyzing information gathered at consultation, including contra-indications.
• Perform safe, hygienic and effective treatments to a commercially acceptable standard and timing. Select, home care products for clients.
• Understand the principles of techniques learnt and their effects on the body.
• Understand the importance of an awareness of current legislation appertaining to beauty and complementary therapies employment.

EXAMINATION: CIBTAC Diploma in Aromatherapy at Bali BISA

THEORY: 30 minutes multiple choice paper

PRACTICAL: 1 ½ hours

Anatomy & Physiology is a pre-requisite for all International courses. Taking an Anatomy & Physiology Course will give you the skills of understanding how the body works. Hence giving you a better understanding of how you can meet the needs of your clients as a Spa therapist.  No previous experience is necessary.
