Aims of CIBTAC Diploma in Stone Massage Therapy:
To enable the candidate to gain thorough knowledge and understanding in the subject of Stone Therapy Massage; with emphasis on the knowledge of the structure, use and benefits of the stones. So gaining an in depth diploma qualification.

Learning Objectives:
The learner will be able to:

• Identify lifestyle characteristics and take appropriate action in selecting or advising clients about treatments and aftercare.
• Adapt treatments to suit the individual client’s needs by analyzing the information gathered at the consultation, including contra-indications.
• Perform safe, hygienic and effective treatments to a commercially acceptable standard and timing. Select, home care products for clients.
• Understand the principles of techniques learnt and their effects on the body.
• Understand the importance of an awareness of current legislation appertaining to beauty and complementary therapies employment.

EXAMINATIONS: CIBTAC Diploma in Stone Therapy 

THEORY: 30 minutes multiple choice paper.
PRACTICAL: 1 hr 30 mins.
CASE STUDIES:  on 4 clients totalling 16 treatments.

Anatomy & Physiology is a pre-requisite for all International courses. Taking an Anatomy & Physiology Course will give you the skills of understanding how the body works. Hence giving you a better understanding of how you can meet the needs of your clients as a Spa therapist.  No previous experience is necessary.
