I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the kind help you have made for me right from the beginning even before I left my country.
I also want to thank all my dear Bali Bisa teachers for their professionalism, patience and the flexibility, which I have treasured enormously.
During my 3 weeks in Bali Bisa I have learnt not only about the treatment technique, the knowledge about Spa Management and the Train the Trainer Program, but more important was the attitude: A good spa professional is the care giver, who unites the body and soul, with the energy from the heart and this I have strongly felt from all my teachers...I have loved the meditation in the mornings and now every time when I do it, I will miss all of you, smile...
I enjoyed my time very much by learning, making friends and getting to know the Balinese culture...Bali Bisa I will be back, very soon!

Spa Management & Spa Consultant Course

For two weeks I attended a course in Spa Management and Consulting in Bali Bisa, Bali.

To be honest, I didn’t expect such a high level of the information. The course was fabulous. I learned so many things for such a short time.

Penny Ellis is very professional trainer and she has the unique manner to deliver the information in a very approachable and simple to understand way. I’m very satisfied from the training.

All the people in Bali Bisa are very friendly and help you with everything. The training itself passes in a very smooth, calm way and even though you are in the school about 8 hours a day and at the end you become very tired, you leave feeling yourself very much enriched.

We spent much time visiting different hotels and Spa centers – many, many hotels situated among the gorgeous nature of Bali…Penny spent with us a lot of time, bringing us to the most famous Spa centers.I can’t forget Alila and Bvlgary…. I learned a lot about management and Spa consulting…the Training Materials and books we worked with contain precious information and thanks to Penny, everything became clear to me and made sense….the course is very strong base if you decide to make a career in the field of Spa Management and Consulting.

SPA is a professional unique care about one’s body, mind & soul. Mankind gathered enormous knowledge about sicknesses, but far less – about health. SPA does not solve problems of medicine, doesn’t substitute medical care. The difference of Eastern Spa from European is in deliberate rejection of medical treatments and using mostly natural cosmetic products. Moreover, in philosophical depth and in survived through century’s belief that SPA experience can be as deep as one lets it deepen...

Main principle of Eastern Spa is in conviction that human’s health is the reflection of his inner world. The culture of inspiring balance between body and soul is highly developed in the Eastern Cultures, Indonesian Thailand, Philippines, India, and China.

I passed three months in BaliBisa, I had the luck to learn many massage and body treatments.

The quality of the courses is impressive, each student learns according to his rythm and the teachers teach with lot of generosity and humanism.

Balibisa is the perfect school to learn or to develop spa treatments with the asiatique philosophy: heart and energy. These are the principal things I will remember for my new professionnal orientation, because after these courses I found a spa therapist job in Marocco.

Saya sangat senang bisa mengenal BALI BISA, di sana saya kursus owner spa program, luar biasa yang saya dapat, baik ilmu yang diajarkan, sangat mengena dan sangat bisa saya mengerti. Cara penyajian materi dan sistem tanya jawab yang benar – benar mempermudah saya untuk bisa mendapatkan ilmu yang sangat saya butuhkan, suasana tempat belajarpun sangat hangat dalam artian keakraban dan kedekatan dari seluruh orang yang ada di sana sangat terasa sebagai keluarga, saat serius, saat santai, saat tertawa, tidak bisa saya lupakan, trima kasih BALI BISA, saya sangat bangga bisa belajar tentang SPA di BALI BISA.

"I loved learning at Bali Bisa. I took the 5-day Balinese massage course and I want to return for another course. Bali Bisa offers a great learning environment. I'll always remember where I practiced my massages: near the patio on the 2nd floor with the view of the beautiful flowers and tropical trees and the Balinese sky. Dear Bali BISA,
A good training program involves having good training materials and experienced and professional trainers. I attended a 8-day Balinese massage and Natural Facial massage course with BISA and I must say they have achieved both the criteria's !
I thoroughly enjoyed the course with them not because of the fact that it was a very good program they have put together ,but also because I was lucky to have 2 very experienced,attentive and professional trainers to guide me through the program . I had a limited time to finish the course and Miss Penny was kind enough to tailor to my needs and started my course on a Sunday even though it was a day off for them ! I deeply appreciated the fact that this was an exception and I was pleasantly surprised .
The kindness and warmth of the Balinese people also touched me deeply in terms of the way they accommodated my needs.
Thank you for a wonderful time and experience at Bali BISA , and I really hope to come back to Bali to see you again or perhaps attend more courses !

Dear Ibu Penny,

I'd like to send a quick note to express my appreciation for all the staff at Bali Bisa. Those that i have dealt with since starting my short training in May 2008 and i realize that i only see a small number of staff and student have rarely been anything other than PLEASANT and HELPFUL.
In particular, i would pick out my personal teacher "KADEK" with her patience taught professional, relax and enjoyable course every single day.
"MBAK SITI", is always very pleasant and shows professional attention for every student.
Last but not least, IBU PENNY has always been extremely helpful giving extra time to improve my courses know more about spa therapist and i really appreciate this.

Ps: Regards to everybody in BaliBisa, I am missing you all.

For anybody entering a new field, it is a daunting matter of choice and gaining knowledge effectively. I was looking for quality Spa education and found Balibisa on the web. On casually dropping by on a holiday to ‘check it out’, the meeting with Penny instilled the confidence in me to explore further. After a few consultations, I took the plunge and enrolled for the Spa Director Course.

I got valuable insights on what makes a Spa successful. Especially the tips on guest service, the enormous importance on training your staff, hiring wisely, the things you need to lookout during setup. The key take away for me has been: “Your Spa can look like heaven, but only your staff can make it one”. I am very impressed with the way her staff is trained that I want one of her trainers for my own Spa!

There are these little tricks of trade that only a Spa veteran can tell you. Penny is the one I want by my side in this venture.

Beginning with the complete history of Balinese massage, specific massage  strokes used and ultimately, learning the 60 minute routine. As a licensed massage therapist in the US, I really appreciate the fact that special attention is paid to proper body movements (mechanics)  for the therapist. This very important to ensure that it is a great massage for the client and safe for the therapist. So very important for prevention of injuries.

Going to various spas in South East Asian region I wanted to learn about the "Authentic" massage strokes and spa etiquette. I always enjoyed my time in the spas in Bali. So I decided to take up a course in Balinese massage. There were many options available in Singapore where I am based at, but I opted to go to Bali Bisa, in Sanur where the Penny is a well known instructor and consultant to some of the world class resorts in the region.

At first all seemed very overwhelming. I did not have any experience other than receiving massages. The trainer was very patient and very knowledgeable but, firm.

It is hard work and needs dedication as it is not a school which will take your money and give you a piece of paper at the end of the course. Bisa offers comprehensive, professional, top class training.

At the end of the day course I felt very confident. I had a chance to have a glimpse into this new but increasingly popular industry and time permitting I am thinking of going for the spa management course later and have recommended the school to my friends in the industry.
